Being the nation’s largest Tex-Mex restaurant, On The Border had the opportunity to leverage a star-studded partnership on a national level. Enter: The Marky Marg, a margarita crafted with Mark Wahlberg’s new Flecha Azul Tequila to launch on Cinco de Mayo—the restaurant’s biggest day of the year.

Solution

To increase hype and anticipation for the Marky Marg, we created a video ad that teased the partnership and launch that would take place at On The Borders across the country on Cinco de Mayo.

The biggest in-person celebration took place in Las Vegas, where Wahlberg himself attended. To amplify the excitement, our team created and shared a 30-minute live stream where we interviewed Wahlberg, watched him shake and pour fresh Marky Margs for guests, and chatted with On The Border’s CMO.
